News › 10th Sym­po­sium on Opti­cal Coa­tings for Laser Appli­ca­ti­ons (OCLA)

On May 8, 2025, the tenth inter­na­tio­nal sym­po­sium OCLA – Opti­cal Coa­tings for Laser Appli­ca­ti­ons will take place in Vil­nius, Lithua­nia. It will be hos­ted by the Cen­ter for Phy­si­cal Sci­en­ces and Tech­no­logy (FTMC). The event is aimed at experts from rese­arch and indus­try who deal with opti­cal coa­tings, laser tech­no­lo­gies and pre­cise mea­su­re­ment technology. 

The focus is on cur­rent deve­lo­p­ments in the pro­duc­tion, cha­rac­te­riza­tion and appli­ca­tion of opti­cal thin-film sys­tems for high-power lasers. In addi­tion to con­tri­bu­ti­ons on low los­ses, laser damage limits and inter­face effects, the role of poli­shing pro­ces­ses and sur­face qua­lity will also be dis­cus­sed. The lec­ture pro­gram includes pre­sen­ta­ti­ons by renow­ned experts from all over Europe. 

On the day before, May 7, the sym­po­sium will begin with intro­duc­tory events and gui­ded tours of local com­pa­nies and rese­arch insti­tu­ti­ons. The evening will be roun­ded off with a din­ner in the cen­ter of Vilnius.
