SACHSENKABEL PRESENTS SPECIALTY OPTICAL FIBER PORTFOLIO FOR LASER AND LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY AS WELL AS MEDICINE, SPECTROSCOPY AND SENSOR TECHNOLOGY

Highly cus­to­mizable range of ser­vices and new pro­ducts as trade show focus

LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH will be show­ca­sing its pro­duct range of opti­cal fiber solu­ti­ons for laser and labo­ra­tory tech­no­logy appli­ca­ti­ons as well as medi­cine, spec­tro­scopy and sen­sor tech­no­logy at Laser  World of Pho­to­nics (June 27 to 30 in Munich, Hall A2, Booth 331). At the booth, the fiber optic assem­bler will pre­sent its  com­pre­hen­sive range of ser­vices in the field of high-qua­lity, cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic and stan­dar­di­zed cabling solu­ti­ons – from the  deve­lo­p­ment to con­tract manu­fac­tu­ring, from small series to high volu­mes. For exam­ple, visi­tors can obtain detailed  infor­ma­tion about cus­to­mi­zed fiber assem­blies, laser con­nec­tors such as high-power FSMA assem­blies as well as cus­to­merspe­ci­fic cable assem­blies with resistant poly­imide, cop­per, alu­mi­num or gold coa­ting for high-tem­pe­ra­ture, high vacuum and  medi­cal applications.

Part of the trade show appearance will be, among other things, the new pola­riza­tion-pre­ser­ving PM fiber assem­blies (Pola­riza­tion Main­tai­ning) for use in fiber-optic sen­sor sys­tems. New spli­cing solu­ti­ons for spe­cialty fibers, which can be used, for exam­ple, to rea­lize con­nec­tions bet­ween PM and sin­gle-mode OS2 fibers will also be on dis­play. A sel­ec­tion of cus­to­mizable bare fibers (inva­sive fibers),  which are sui­ta­ble for a wide range of medi­cal appli­ca­ti­ons, is also part of the exhi­bi­tion. On this basis, for exam­ple,  cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic sin­gle- and mul­ti­mode solu­ti­ons can be  manu­fac­tu­red in any length and with dif­fe­rent fiber ends (polished/cleaved), coa­tings and sur­face qua­li­ties. It is easily pos­si­ble to equip it with addi­tio­nal pro­tec­tive hose. In addi­tion, mul­ti­mode fiber bund­les inclu­ding the new  Illu­mi­na­tion Fiber Bund­les as well as linear and round bund­les will be exhi­bi­ted. The fiber optic bund­les can also be fle­xi­bly adapted to cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic requi­re­ments: Ver­si­ons with varia­ble fiber num­ber and geo­me­try as well as dif­fe­rent con­nec­tors or indi­vi­du­ally sepa­ra­ted indi­vi­dual fibers are available. Optio­nally, appli­ca­tion-spe­ci­fic pro­tec­tive hoses can also be added here, for exam­ple made of high-tem­pe­ra­ture-sta­ble PTFE.
