News › JENOPTIK – Successful financial year 2024 completed

JENOPTIK AG closed the 2024 financial year with a solid increase in revenue and earnings. Despite a challenging market environment, the photonics group achieved its targets and achieved sales growth of 4.7% to €1,115.8 million. The operating result (EBITDA) rose by 5.7% to €221.5 million, while the corresponding margin improved slightly to 19.9%. At EUR 92.6 million, the net profit for the year was significantly higher than the previous year’s figure.

The Advanced Photonic Solutions division developed particularly strongly – primarily due to the positive momentum in the semiconductor equipment sector. The construction of a new state-of-the-art clean room factory at the Dresden site was also completed on schedule; production started at the beginning of 2025.

Despite a decline in order intake (-5.9 %) Jenoptik remains financially well positioned with a solid equity ratio (55.6 %) and reduced net debt. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board are proposing a dividend increase to 0.38 euros per share.

For 2025, Jenoptik expects revenue at the previous year’s level (+/- 5 %) and an EBITDA margin of between 18.0 and 21.0 percent in view of the high level of geopolitical and economic uncertainty.
