Inte­gra­ting inter­na­tio­nal pro­fes­sio­nals into the work­place and ever­y­day life can be a major chall­enge. Living in Ger­many pres­ents many tasks and hurd­les for peo­ple from other count­ries. A key fac­tor for suc­cessful col­la­bo­ra­tion, both pro­fes­sio­nally and per­so­nally, is mas­te­ring the local lan­guage. Opto­Net has deve­lo­ped a new pro­gram desi­gned to sup­port your inter­na­tio­nal employees in easing their integration.

Crash Course: Work­place Ger­man B1

Over the course of 14 ses­si­ons, par­ti­ci­pants will prac­tice dif­fe­rent aspects of the Ger­man lan­guage. Spe­cial empha­sis will be pla­ced on embed­ding lan­guage lear­ning in pro­fes­sio­nal and ever­y­day con­texts. The goal is to help par­ti­ci­pants use Ger­man more inde­pendently, con­fi­dently, and appro­pria­tely across a range of situations.

The Tea­cher

The course will be led by Paul Krei­bich. Before joi­ning Opto­Net, he spent many years tea­ching Ger­man in inte­gra­tion cour­ses as well as pro­fes­sio­nal and tech­ni­cal lan­guage cour­ses for levels A1–C2. He has also com­ple­ted a variety of addi­tio­nal qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons in this field. Fur­ther­more, he worked as an exami­ner for gene­ral inte­gra­tion and pro­fes­sio­nal lan­guage cour­ses up to level C1 and has exten­sive expe­ri­ence with par­ti­ci­pants of all ages, back­grounds, and nationalities.

Addi­tio­nal Information

All par­ti­ci­pants who attend regu­larly and suc­cessfully com­plete the course will receive an Opto­Net cer­ti­fi­cate of par­ti­ci­pa­tion. Please note that this is not an offi­cial lan­guage cer­ti­fi­cate, as such cer­ti­fi­ca­tes can only be issued by accre­di­ted test­ing institutions.

Requi­re­ments & Boo­king Conditions

To achieve the tar­get level of B1, par­ti­ci­pants are expec­ted to alre­ady have a basic know­ledge of Ger­man equi­va­lent to A2 level prior to start­ing the course. In prac­tice, this means being able to under­stand sen­ten­ces and fre­quently used expres­si­ons rela­ted to ever­y­day topics and com­mu­ni­cate in simple, rou­tine situations.

The course is limi­ted to 12 par­ti­ci­pants. Opto­Net reser­ves the right to limit the num­ber of seats per com­pany if demand is high.
