The GFE – Gesell­schaft für Fer­ti­gungs­tech­nik und Ent­wick­lung Schmal­kal­den e.V. is a pri­vate, busi­ness-rela­ted (non-pro­fit) rese­arch asso­cia­tion with a focus on tools. In the areas of tool and tech­no­logy deve­lo­p­ment, hard mate­rial coa­ting, qua­lity and envi­ron­men­tal manage­ment as well as test field / sam­ple and pro­to­type con­s­truc­tion, rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment pro­jects are rea­li­zed and inno­va­tive ser­vices for tool and com­po­nent test­ing are car­ried out. The range of ser­vices includes appli­ca­tion-ori­en­ted preli­mi­nary rese­arch, applied and con­tract rese­arch, tech­no­logy-ori­en­ted con­sul­ting and ser­vices as well as coope­ra­tion pro­jects and pro­to­type and small series production.
