Optics Meet-up @ TIP

Inputs · Talks · Networking

A strong expertise in the design and manufacturing of high-end optical components  – that’s what Jena region is famous for.
Please feel kindly invited to the 9th edition of a unique gathering of leading scientists and developers.

Opening

#1 Gutenberg Moment of Holography: Pathway to Mass Fabrication of Holographic Products

Roman Kleindienst, Head of Business Unit Microoptics, ZEISS Group

Holographic transparent display and sensor technology is revolutionizing sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics, and aerospace. As a key holography enabler, ZEISS is making holography ubiquitous – bringing safer, more interactive experiences into homes, vehicles, and aircrafts. Our presentation highlights the ZEISS Microoptics Multifunctional Smart Glass platform, which employs advanced optical design, proprietary volume holographic films, and ZEISS mass fabrication equipment to enable seamless content visualization, detection, and enhanced user interaction. In collaboration with industry leaders, we drive innovation and deliver disruptive optical solutions. Our work is guided by a foundation of collaboration, transparency, sharing, respect, and a relentless pursuit of technological excellence as we redefine usability across different industries.

#2 Advanced Modeling of Two-Photon Lithography & Color Centers for Quantum Optics

Valeriia Sedova & Mostafa Kotkat, Researchers & PhD Students, Fraunhofer IISB

In this session, Valeriia Sedova and Mostafa Kotkat (Fraunhofer IISB) will present their research on advanced two-photon lithography and color centers for quantum optics. The talk will highlight recent progress in the modeling and optimization of two-photon lithography, as well as advances in color centers for quantum optics, providing insights into cutting-edge methods and applications in these fields.

#3 The Abbe School of Photonics – shaping the talent for tomorrow

Thomas Pertsch, Head of the Abbe School of Photonics, Abbe School of Photonics

In order to meet the long-term demand for experts at Jena’s optics companies, the University of Jena has launched the Abbe School of Photonics, a model for how public-private partnerships can break new ground in the recruitment and training of top international talent to support the growth of the optics industry.
