Kick-Off Event Cen­ter for Applied Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence (ZAKI)

On April 1, the Cen­ter for Applied Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence (ZAKI) was laun­ched at the Ernst Abbe Uni­ver­sity of Applied Sci­en­ces Jena.

Tog­e­ther with you, we would like to advance the topic of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence in Thu­rin­gia and, above all, bring it into application.

The cen­ter is desi­gned as an essen­tial ele­ment of the stra­te­gic deve­lo­p­ment of EAH Jena in the coming years. The goal is to con­ti­nue and fur­ther deve­lop the exis­ting strengths in rese­arch and tea­ching in one of the soci­ally and eco­no­mic­ally most important sub­ject areas, Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence, and to find appli­ca­tion-ori­en­ted solu­ti­ons for AI-rela­ted issues from dif­fe­rent areas of the region.
To this end, we would like to cor­di­ally invite you to the cere­mo­nial ope­ning of ZAKI.

  • Address by Mr. Wolf­gang Tie­fen­see (Thu­rin­gian Minis­ter for Eco­nomy, Sci­ence and Digi­tal Society).
  • Spee­ches by Rec­tor Prof. Dr. Stef­fen Tei­chert and Vice Pre­si­dent for Rese­arch and Deve­lo­p­ment Prof. Dr. Kris­tin Mitte
  • Pro­ject pre­sen­ta­tion by the sci­en­ti­fic direc­tor of ZAKI, Prof. Dr. Dirk Schmalzried
  • Impul­ses of dif­fe­rent pro­ject part­ners from the fields of eco­nomy, sci­ence and society as well as intermediaries
  • Exch­ange and get-tog­e­ther with the stake­hol­ders of ZAKI
