Recrui­ting young sci­en­tists in optics and photonics

In order to drive inno­va­tion and deve­lo­p­ment in the optics and pho­to­nics indus­try, young sci­en­tists are nee­ded. For this reason, the Fraun­ho­fer Insti­tute for Applied Optics and Pre­cis­ion Engi­nee­ring IOF, in coope­ra­tion with the pho­to­nics gra­duate school Max Planck School of Pho­to­nics, orga­ni­zes the annual Pho­to­nics Days Jena as a net­wor­king and career event.

At Pho­to­nics Days Jena, stu­dents and doc­to­ral can­di­da­tes have the oppor­tu­nity to net­work one-on-one with repre­sen­ta­ti­ves of renow­ned pho­to­nics orga­niza­ti­ons. Even before com­ple­ting their stu­dies, stu­dents and doc­to­ral can­di­da­tes can gain per­spec­ti­ves on their own career paths, get per­so­nal advice and make hel­pful contacts.
