CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT AT LWL-SACHSENKABEL GMBH

The new mana­ging direc­tor of LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH as of Janu­ary 01, 2023 is Dr. Michael Mül­ler (38). The mecha­ni­cal engi­neer with a doc­to­rate suc­ceeds Sil­via Duus, who will retire after 15 years at the helm of the com­pany. Michael Mül­ler intends to con­ti­nue the growth course of the estab­lished FO cabling spe­cia­list and, above all, to exploit busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties in the field of broad­band expansion.

At LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH, a change in manage­ment also took place at the end of the year. Mana­ging Direc­tor of the fiber optic cabling spe­cia­list from Gorn­s­dorf in Sax­ony has been Dr. Michael Mül­ler (38) since Janu­ary 01, 2023. He suc­ceeds Sil­via Duus, who will retire after 15 suc­cessful years at the helm of the com­pany. Sil­via Duus joi­ned LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH in 2001 as tech­ni­cal mana­ger. After important con­tri­bu­ti­ons to pro­duct and pro­duc­tion deve­lo­p­ment as well as new cus­to­mer acqui­si­tion, the gra­duate phy­si­cist was appoin­ted to the manage­ment board in 2007. Her work at the top of the com­pany is asso­cia­ted with the con­ti­nuous rise of Sach­sen­ka­bel from a pure fiber optic cable manu­fac­tu­rer to one of the lea­ding Ger­man solu­tion pro­vi­ders for fiber optic-based infra­struc­tures in the fields of tele­com­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons, data cen­ters, broad­cas­ting, sen­sor tech­no­logy, indus­trial pro­duc­tion and medi­cal technology.

Its suc­ces­sor, Dr. Michael Mül­ler, intends to con­ti­nue this con­sis­tent growth course. Dr. Mül­ler, who holds a doc­to­rate in mecha­ni­cal engi­nee­ring, most recently held various manage­ment posi­ti­ons and was a mem­ber of the manage­ment board of an inter­na­tio­nally active spe­cia­list in elec­tron and laser beam tech­no­logy. He has many years of expe­ri­ence in sales, pro­ject and pro­duct manage­ment as well as exten­sive exper­tise in the field of pro­duc­tion tech­no­logy. For Michael Mül­ler, the cen­tral pil­lars of the future deve­lo­p­ment of LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH are pro­duct inno­va­tion and pro­duc­tion opti­miza­tion, espe­ci­ally with regard to solu­ti­ons for the busi­ness field of broad­band expan­sion. Sil­via Duus has accom­pa­nied LWL-Sach­sen­ka­bel GmbH for more than two thirds of its com­pany history and has decisi­vely con­tri­bu­ted to the suc­cessful estab­lish­ment of the com­pany in a highly com­pe­ti­tive mar­ket seg­ment. Sach­sen­ka­bel thanks Sil­via Duus for her many years of com­mit­ment to the com­pany and its employees and wis­hes her many happy years in her well-deser­ved retirement.
