We are happy about a new mem­ber: the inno­va­tive start-up initia­tive HETEROMERGE from Dresden.

Ulrike Ger­ecke from the HighT­ech­Start­bahn net­work in Dres­den gave us a hot tip about a startup at the TU Dres­den at the end of 2021, and we were imme­dia­tely curious to find out from Dr. Robert Kirch­ner what was behind Heteromerge.

The four-per­son team has deve­lo­ped a tech­no­logy that allows you to change the mate­ri­als used during the 3D prin­ting pro­cess. This is also inte­res­t­ing for pho­to­nics, as it enables the smal­lest (free-form) opti­cal sys­tems, micro-optics or inte­gra­ted pho­to­nics on device sub­stra­tes for tem­pe­ra­ture-sen­si­tive processes.

The GmbH foun­da­tion is plan­ned for the sum­mer of 2022. A first oppor­tu­nity to get to know the com­pany will be on Janu­ary 17, 2022 at 1 pm at our mem­ber for­mat Opto­Net live – Wel­come 2022.
