With over 80 years of expe­ri­ence, Edmund Optics®is an estab­lished pro­vi­der of high-qua­lity opti­cal com­pon­ents and solu­ti­ons for mar­kets such as life sci­en­ces, indus­trial inspec­tion, aero­space and rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment. Foun­ded in 1942, the com­pany today employs more than 1,300 peo­ple at 19 loca­ti­ons worldwide. 

With its dual busi­ness model, Edmund Optics com­bi­nes a lea­ding mar­ket­place for opti­cal pro­ducts with advan­ced manu­fac­tu­ring ser­vices for cus­to­mi­zed and volume-based pro­duc­tion of pre­cis­ion opti­cal and ima­ging com­pon­ents. The Mar­ket­place includes over 34,000 imme­dia­tely available pro­ducts and stands for fast and relia­ble deli­veries along the entire beam path. In the area of advan­ced manu­fac­tu­ring, Edmund Optics sup­ports cus­to­mers from deve­lo­p­ment to pro­to­ty­pes to series pro­duc­tion and manu­fac­tures a large num­ber of opti­cal com­pon­ents and opti­cal assem­blies every year. 

In Europe, the com­pany is repre­sen­ted by Edmund Optics GmbH, based in Mainz, which ser­ves cus­to­mers in the DACH region as a tra­ding and sales subsidiary.
