With around 600 mem­bers, Sili­con Sax­ony is the lar­gest microelec­tro­nics clus­ter in Europe and one of the lar­gest IT and ICT clus­ters in Ger­many. As a self-finan­ced asso­cia­tion, Sili­con Sax­ony con­nects manu­fac­tu­r­ers, sup­pli­ers, ser­vice pro­vi­ders, colleges/universities, rese­arch insti­tu­tes, public insti­tu­ti­ons and start-ups in Sax­ony as a busi­ness loca­tion and beyond.
The the­ma­tic focus is on the tech­no­lo­gi­cal trends of the pre­sent and future – e.g. arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence, robo­tics, auto­ma­tion, the Inter­net of Things, sen­sor tech­no­logy, energy effi­ci­ency, neu­ro­mor­phic, edge and quan­tum computing.
As a high-pro­file infor­ma­tion, com­mu­ni­ca­tion and coope­ra­tion plat­form and by par­ti­ci­pa­ting in and orga­ni­zing indus­try events, Sili­con Sax­ony pro­mo­tes the regio­nal, natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal net­wor­king of its indus­tries.
