Since its foun­da­tion in 1991, the Jena Tech­no­logy and Inno­va­tion Park has sup­ported and pro­mo­ted more than 280 young, tech­no­logy-ori­en­ted com­pa­nies in fields of nano and micro­sys­tem tech­no­logy, sen­sor and optics, com­mu­ni­ca­tion and soft­ware deve­lo­p­ment, as well as medi­cal and envi­ron­men­tal technology.
From the early begin­ning the Jena Tech­no­logy and Inno­va­tion Park has had a great impact as a »Reco­gni­zed Inno­va­tion Cen­ter« of the Fede­ral Asso­cia­tion of Ger­man Inno­va­tion, Tech­no­logy and Start-Up Cen­ters and has deve­lo­ped into one of the hubs of the regio­anl alli­ance of sci­ence, com­pa­nies and entre­pre­neur­ship in the Jena tech­no­logy area. The tech­no­logy and inno­va­tion park offers afforda­ble office, work­shop and labo­ra­tory space from 18m² with appro­priate tech­ni­cal ser­vice, a needs-ori­en­ted infra­struc­ture and the best con­di­ti­ons in the start-up phase. This also includes the link to public rela­ti­ons of the cen­ter and access to tech­no­logy-ori­en­ted networks.
