News › Light­house pro­ject for pho­to­nics · Opto­Net part­ner at Pho­ton­Hub Europe

Digi­tal key tech­no­logy: In the new Euro­pean initia­tive Pho­ton­Hub Europe, which is fun­ded with EUR 19 mil­lion from the HORIZON 2020 pro­gram, lea­ding Euro­pean rese­arch insti­tu­tes and pho­to­nics com­pa­nies sup­port the deve­lo­p­ment and intro­duc­tion of light-based tech­no­lo­gies at small and medium-sized, pri­ma­rily non-pho­to­nics companies.

Opto­Net is part of the pro­ject con­sor­tium and will con­tri­bute with 52 other Euro­pean part­ners to increase the reach of pho­to­nics and create 1,000 new high-tech jobs and reve­nues of more than EUR 1 billion.
As a regio­nal net­work part­ner, our main focus will be on con­nec­ting stake­hol­ders from user indus­tries with our indus­try on the ground.
