The pho­to­nics net­work Opto­Net e.V. con­ti­nues to grow. On April 9, 2025, we wel­come three new mem­bers to our net­work and look for­ward to a good cooperation. 

Who are the new play­ers and how can they enrich the network?

• Rhy­Se­arch the Rhine Val­ley Rese­arch and Inno­va­tion Cen­ter based in Buchs (Switz­er­land) – is an indus­try-ori­en­ted rese­arch insti­tu­tion that net­works com­pa­nies and rese­arch insti­tu­ti­ons and car­ries out its own appli­ca­tion-ori­en­ted rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment projects.
• Meca­de­mic Inc. is a Cana­dian com­pany based in Mon­tréal and spe­cia­li­zes in the deve­lo­p­ment of ultra-com­pact, high-pre­cis­ion indus­trial robots. The robots are pri­ma­rily used in micro-auto­ma­tion, for exam­ple in the optics and pho­to­nics indus­try, elec­tro­nics manu­fac­tu­ring and medi­cal technology.
• The PERCEPTEC GmbH with head­quar­ters in the TIP in Jena is an inno­va­tive start-upA com­pany that is dri­ving for­ward the digi­ta­liza­tion of oph­thal­mic and oph­thal­mo­lo­gi­cal dia­gno­stics. A cen­tral pro­ject is the deve­lo­p­ment of a vir­tual eye test that enables intui­tive and inde­pen­dent per­for­mance with the help of a com­pact one-view test device and state-of-the-art 3D dis­play technology.
