News › We start the surveys for the PHOTONICS Report 2021

Two years have passed since our last survey on business figures and personnel forecasts. Thanks to the support of many companies and research institutions, we have been able to publish a comprehensive set of figures on the photonics industry in Thuringia since 2001, which has attracted considerable national and international attention.

As of February 1, the surveys for our 11th OptoNet PHOTONICS Report 2021 will start. This year, the about 100 company members and another 100 companies of the photonics industry will be surveyed again. We have commissioned the Institute of Sociology at FSU Jena to conduct the surveys.

Against the backdrop of the pandemic that has been ongoing since March 2020 and its impact on business life, the results this year are of particular importance. Only a reliable picture of the mood of the business community will enable us to represent the interests of the industry at state and federal level.

As always, the results of the survey will be published in the spring.

We would like to thank all respondents for their cooperation in advance.
