News › ZEISS – Half-year results 2024/25: Mixed pic­ture within the ZEISS Group

The chal­len­ging geo­po­li­ti­cal and eco­no­mic con­di­ti­ons impac­ted the ZEISS Group’s busi­ness seg­ments to vary­ing degrees. Despite a hete­ro­ge­neous busi­ness deve­lo­p­ment, the Group recor­ded a good first half-year over­all. Group reve­nue amoun­ted to 5.8 bil­lion euros (balance sheet date: March 31, 2025). This cor­re­sponds to an increase of +9% com­pared to the pre­vious year. Ear­nings before inte­rest and taxes (EBIT) amoun­ted to EUR 923 mil­lion (EUR +184 mil­lion com­pared to the pre­vious year). Expen­dit­ure on rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment remains at an above-average 14% of sales com­pared to the rest of the indus­try. The num­ber of employees rose to 46,555 worldwide.
