What pro­per­ties can be achie­ved for addi­tively manu­fac­tu­red cop­per? Which geo­me­tries can be rea­li­zed and which pro­cess chain is requi­red for a par­ti­cu­lar appli­ca­tion? Which addi­tive pro­ces­ses are available and what are the advan­ta­ges and disadvantages?

To ans­wer these ques­ti­ons, Fraun­ho­fer IWS in Dres­den has initia­ted the work­shop »Cop­pe­rAM for Indus­try«. Experts from indus­try and rese­arch will give an over­view of com­mon addi­tive manu­fac­tu­ring pro­ces­ses such as laser pow­der bed fusion, elec­tron pow­der bed fusion, clad­ding, fused fila­ment fabri­ca­tion and bin­der jet­ting with spe­ci­fic refe­rence to the pro­ces­sing of pure cop­per and cop­per alloys. Learn about the limits and poten­ti­als of addi­tive manu­fac­tu­ring for appli­ca­ti­ons with a focus on high heat trans­fer and elec­tri­cal con­duc­ti­vity. The work­shop will fur­ther­more offer you the oppor­tu­nity to exch­ange ideas with other par­ti­ci­pants in a rela­xed atmo­sphere and to fos­ter close net­wor­king bet­ween indus­try and research.
